“Man United leads Arsenal in the Joshua Zirkzee transfer race, being the only club to have held negotiations with the former Bayern Munich star”
Manchester United’s pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee may depend on his agent’s ability to secure a deal for his younger brother at AC Milan.
Several clubs are interested in the Bologna striker, including United, Arsenal, and AC Milan.
Joshua Zirkzee’s United transfer may be stopped if his agent’s requests for his sibling are satisfied by AC Milan.
Josh Zirkzee is coveted by various clubs.
The Red Devils are claimed to have ‘forcefully’ entered the contest, with manager Erik ten Hag eager to recruit his 23-year-old compatriot.
AC Milan has already taken important moves towards signing Zirkzee, with the striker allegedly agreeing to personal terms.
However, a standoff has emerged between Zirkzee’s representative and the Serie A club, with Milan reportedly being requested to pay £12.6 million in agent fees.
But now that United has entered the race, his agent Kia Joorabchian has proposed an alternative to AC Milan.
Joorabchian will lower his commission demands if AC Milan agrees to sign Zirkzee’s 18-year-old sibling Jordan, according to Corriere della Sera.
This would not be the first time the Rossoneri have used siblings and relatives to conclude difficult signings.
AC Milan star Kaka was signed from Brazil in 2003, along with his younger brother Digao, who was loaned out on multiple occasions.
Similarly, when the club acquired custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma, they welcomed his brother Antonio in 2013.

Zirkzee’s younger brother has an expiring contract with Bayer Leverkusen and will most likely be transferred to AC Milan’s Under 23 team.
However, it is unclear whether Milan will consider this alternative.
Zirkzee has a buyout clause of around £34 million, which is roughly £10 million less than his market value, and United and AC Milan are willing to pay it.
Last season, the 6ft 4ins forward scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 34 Serie A games.
He was later called up to Holland’s Euro 2024 team.
Arsenal has reportedly been keeping an eye on him for several months.
