As the summer transfer window edges closer, the anticipation of finally seeing Kylian Mbappe don the royal white jersey heightens.
Mbappe announced his decision to leave PSG as a free agent at the end of the season not too long ago, with the Frenchman also receiving a farewell ceremony at the Parc des Princes.
While no verdict regarding his next destination has been publicized yet, all signs point toward Real Madrid as his inevitable landing spot
Mbappe’s goals at Real Madrid
Although Mbappe’s trophy cabinet glitters with silverware, two trophies continue to elude him: the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d’Or.
The 2018 World Cup Winner has come close to achieving these titles but has failed to realize those dreams.
As such, according to AS (h/t Madrid Zone) Kylian Mbappe’s biggest goals at Real Madrid are to win both the Champions League and Ballon d’Or once and for all.
Understandably, there is arguably no better club to realize those aspirations. Real Madrid players have won the Ballon d’Or a total of 12 times, while they boast a historic 14 Champions League titles.
In fact, these impressive numbers are likely to grow, with the Merengues facing off against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final and the likes of Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham leading the Ballon d’Or race.
As such, Mbappe, who is likely to be the centerpiece of Real Madrid’s project from next season, solidifies his chances of lifting those two trophies.
Details on Mbappe’s presentation
The administration is currently considering a period between the 3rd and 9th of June, though a final decision has not yet been made.
This will also depend on obtaining permission from Paris Saint-Germain, as Mbappe’s contract with the French club runs until June 30th.
Ultimately, a presentation is likely to take place before the Eruos commence in Germany this summer on June 14.
