🗣️ Joselu: “We have supported Arda Güler and treated him like our little brother. He is going to bring a lot of joy to the Real Madrid fans.”
In their penultimate La Liga match of the season, Real Madrid and Villarreal drew 4–4 at Estadio de la Ceramica today. The match was interesting.
The recently crowned champions’ star player, Arda Guler, opened the score before Joselu doubled their lead.
Alexander Sorloth gave the Yellow Submarines a response goal, and Lucas Vazquez then made it 3-1 for Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Just before half-time, Guler scored again, and it seemed the game was finished.
But Sorloth had other ideas, as he salvaged a point for his time by scoring three goals in the second half.
Manager Ancelotti praised Guler’s goal-scoring prowess in remarks made following the match, saying:
“I believe it is better to be closer to the goal. He has a unique talent, is very effective, and scores a lot with little area. Nearer the objective, he better demonstrates it.
The Italian tactician said of the entire match, “It was an entertaining game, with pace, intensity, open, and little balance.” We played with energy to get ready for the final game of the season, which is exactly what we needed to get out of it.
“We don’t need the points, therefore that wasn’t the goal. The goal was to play a strong, focused game in order to stay clear of issues and injuries. Everything went smoothly,” he continued.
Given how tight the UCL final was, Ancelotti stated he wasn’t too concerned about his team giving up four goals tonight.
It was a rather open game with no balance, so I’m not concerned. Perhaps we gave up more goals than we should have because we played off𝔢nsive football. Nothing changes, and things don’t have to turn out that way in the end.
“They played very well up front, and Arda GĂĽler had a great aĆĆack.”
In addition, the manager praised Andriy Lunin, who might have played his last game of the season. Thibaut Courtois is anticipated to start for Borussia Dortmund and Real Betis.
“He was good with his feet, he couldn’t do anything about the goals, and I liked him.” He was quick and had good game sense. Clearly, he is not to blame for the goals, the manager remarked.
Regarding Eder Militao’s performance that evening, he continued, “We can say that both central defenders have suffered. Militao is nearly at full strength. He can give it his all in the next two weeks we have left.
Ancelotti praised Brahim Diaz for his outstanding performance against La Ceramica, saying:
He’s had a fantastic season, made a lot of contributions to the squad, and most importantly, he’s one of the non-regulars who has contributed the most.
“He, Joselu, and Arda have each scored a great deal of goals. His season is going great, and the team is prepared to play hard these next two weeks in an attempt to win.
