🔴 Diogo Dalot played excellently in the season-ending match to help Manchester United win easily against Brighton.
Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the Premier League season, but their win wasn’t enough to snatch a European spot. Diogo Dalot, however, emerged as the hero for the Red Devils with a crucial performance.
While Brighton dominated possession and created more chances, particularly in the first half, United held firm defensively. Dalot, playing an unfamiliar left-back role, was a constant threat going forward and a rock at the back. His attacking runs provided valuable outlets, and his defensive solidity neutralized Brighton’s attacks.
The turning point arrived in the second half when Dalot, against the run of play, found himself in a scoring position and slotted home the opening goal. This sparked United, and substitute Rasmus Hojlund added a late clincher to seal the win.
Despite the victory, Manchester United finished the season in eighth place, meaning they’ll need to win the FA Cup against rivals Manchester City to qualify for European competition next season.
While their overall campaign was inconsistent, Dalot’s performance offered a bright spark for Red Devils fans looking towards the future. He was awarded Player of the Match for his all-around display.
