Poland comes back to tie Croatia 3-3.

Poland scored three goals in the last few minutes to tie 3-3 with visiting Croatia in a very exciting Nations League match on Tuesday.

Croatia fell behind early but took control of the game with three goals in seven minutes in the first half. However, they were pegged back and then had goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic sent off late in the game.

Through four games, Croatia earned seven points, three more than third-placed Poland. They were now in second place in Group A1. Norway is at the bottom of the group with only one point, while Portugal is at the top with ten.

Poland wanted to get back at Croatia after they them 1-0 at home in their Nations League match in early September. They had lost their last two games and decided to start 20-year-old Kacper Urbanski instead of their all-time top scorer Robert Lewandowski.

Poland played aggressively right away, and captain Piotr Zielinski scored the first goal from a tight angle in the fifth minute.

The hosts, on the other hand, lost the game dramatically as Croatia scored three goals in a row. Borna Sosa scored a shot into the far corner of the goal in the 19th minute after a rebound in the Polish box to tie the game.

With a calm finish, Petar Sucic put Croatia ahead. Soon after, Martin Baturina made it 3-1 by skillfully putting the ball between Marcin Bulka’s legs in the 26th minute.

Poland was in a lot of trouble, but Nicola Zalewski’s amazing goal right before halftime gave them hope in an exciting and action-packed first half.

Jakub Kaminski took a powerful shot in the last few seconds before halftime that looked like it was going into the Croatian goal. However, goalkeeper Livakovic made an amazing save that kept the guests ahead going into halftime.

They were ahead until just after an hour, when Lewandowski set up Sebastian Szymanski for a low shot into the left corner that tied the game in the 68th minute.

Croat Livakovic was sent off for hitting Lewandowski in the 76th minute, but the home team couldn’t take advantage of the situation.

Poland’s next game is on November 15 against Portugal, and three days later they play Scotland. Croatia’s last two games are on November 16 against Scotland and November 17 against Portugal.
