After Mbappe, Alexander-Arnold will be the next target for Real Madrid in the 2024 summer transfer window.

During the summer transfer window of 2024, Real Madrid caused a stir in Europe by announcing the blockbuster signing of Kylian Mbappe and organizing a grand unveiling for the French superstar. However, Mbappe is not the only high-quality newcomer to the Bernabeu. According to journalist Christian Falk (Bild), Real Madrid’s next target is Liverpool’s right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold. The source indicates that the Bernabeu club has developed specific interest in Alexander-Arnold and has been in contact with his agent for the past month.

The right-back position is one Real Madrid needs to strengthen, with veterans Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez both turning 32 and their contracts expiring in 2025. Therefore, Alexander-Arnold is seen as a complete replacement for the future.

Alexander-Arnold joined Liverpool’s youth academy at the age of six, debuted for the first team in 2016, and has made a total of 310 appearances across all competitions, contributing 19 goals and 81 assists. He has been a key figure in helping “The Reds” win numerous prestigious titles under manager Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.

However, speculation about Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool has surfaced over the past few months, especially with the 25-year-old star entering the final year of his contract.
