Keeping his word, Carlo Ancelotti replicated the iconic photo of himself with sunglasses and a cigar during Real Madrid’s 36th La Liga championship celebration on Sunday morning in the Spanish capital.
The original photo was taken in 2022, following Real Madrid’s historic 14th Champions League title victory over Liverpool in a 1-0 victory in Paris. They were commemorating their Champions League and La Liga victories.
Ancelotti recently revealed to the media that he would celebrate taking home the 2023–24 championship with “a cigar and sunglasses.”
Since then, he has fulfilled his pledge by re-creating the well-known image alongside David Alaba, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr., and Eder Militao.
Don Carletto is enjoying himself immensely. He was captured on camera earlier today leading the players and supporters in a unique rendition of the team’s song, “Hala Madrid.”
