Wiz Khalifa ends concert early following disturbance in crowd that left three injured
Indianapolis, Indiana – Wiz Khalifa was forced to end his concert early on Friday night after a disturbance in the crowd that left three people injured.
The incident occurred at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, about 45 minutes into Khalifa’s set. According to local news reports, members of the crowd began shouting about a possible shooting. However, police said that no weapon was found following a sweep of the area.
The music stopped and Khalifa and his band left the stage immediately. Concertgoers were then told to evacuate the venue.
Three people were reported to have been injured in the incident. Two were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the third person was treated at the scene.
In a statement, Live Nation, the concert promoter, said that it is “aware of an incident that occurred at last night’s Wiz Khalifa concert at Ruoff Music Center. The safety of our guests is our top priority, and we are working with local authorities to investigate the matter.”
Khalifa has not yet commented on the incident.
This is the second time in recent months that a concert has been cut short due to a disturbance in the crowd. In May, a Travis Scott concert in Houston, Texas, was halted after multiple people were injured in a crowd surge.
The incidents have raised concerns about safety at concerts, and some have called for increased security measures.
Here are some additional details about the incident:
- The concert was part of Khalifa’s Vinyl Verse tour, which he is co-headlining with rapper Logic.
- Tickets to the concert were sold out.
- The Ruoff Music Center has a capacity of 25,000 people.
