After being traded during the offseason from the Seattle Seahawks, where he threw the football for ten successful seasons and once earned enough to be ranked as the highest paid player in the NFL, to the Denver Broncos, where he’s set to earn $24 мιIIιоn this year, the star quarterback and his R&B singer/philanthropist wife Ciara set their sights on the affluent suburb of Englewood, Colo., where local reports indicate they’ve purchased
.
According to the Denver Post, although the home was listed for sale in 2018 and 2019, first for $18 мιIIιоn and then for $16.5 мιIIιоn, the massive transaction occurred off-market. The sale is expected to set a record for the most paid for a residential property in the Denver metropolitan area, surpassing the previous record set in 2020 when a penthouse atop the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Denver was sold for $16 мιIIιоn.
.
However, tax records and other documents reveаl that the seller is a limited liability company controlled by billionaire Gary Magness, an industrialist, investor, and occasional film producer whose credits include the critically acclaimed 2009 film “Precious.” (Magness inherited a substantial portion of his fortune from his cable television pioneer father, Bob Magness.) Magness purchased the property in 2012 for $7,5 мιIIιоn and completely rebuilt the residence. The European-inspired, faux-timbered stone and stucco mansion stands at the end of a long drive that winds through the estate’s manicured grounds, according to marketing materials from the last time the property was on the market.
.
While Wilson and Ciara’s new home in Colorado cost considerably less than the $36 мιIIιоn they’re asking for their Seattle-area mansion, they have nearly doubled their living space, from about 11,000 square feet with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms to more than 20,000 square feet with four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a few powder rooms. On top of a detached garage, an apartment for guests or personnel adds another bedroom and bathroom.
.
A half-dozen fireplaces, a double-height vestibule dominated by a floating circular staircase, and numerous entertaining spaces, including a panelled formal dining room and a lacquered library, are additional highlights of the three-story home. The guest rooms are all en suite, and the master suite has two lavish bathrooms, two boutique-style dressing rooms, and two offices. The mansion features an indoor swimming pool and spa, a cutting-edge screening room, and a yoga studio/gym overlooking an indoor basketball court.

.
With breathtaking views of the Front Range, the manicured gardens of the Rocky Mountain estate feature a tranquil pond and waterfall, an outdoor fireplace set in the centre of a circle of trees, and a large dining terrace adjacent to a vast expanse of lawn large enough for Wilson to add his own private football pitch if he so desired.
.
Cherry Hills Village is no stranger to sports celebrities affiliated with the Denver Broncos. Both Peyton Manning and John Elway have called the small town home. And until last year, former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan owned a 32,000-square-foot mansion just two doors down from Wilson and Ciara’s new home, which he sold for $15.7 мιIIιоn.
