FIRST RED: Captain Bruno Fernandes vents his frustration in a live TV interview after receiving the first red card of his career during Man Utd’s clash with Tottenham.
After the ‘wrong ruling’ disqualified BRUNO FERNANDES’ high lunge on James Maddison, he became enraged.
Everything went wrong for Manchester United when they were down 1-0 to Tottenham.
Fernandes seemed to trip over the Spurs midfielder in the 42nd minute of the game.

Fans felt the decision to send him off was harsh
As a result, the Red Devils’ skipper managed to stud Madison high on the left leg.
After a quick review using video assistant referee Chris Kavanagh, the decision was upheld and the player was sent off.
Fernandes got his marching orders while wearing a Manchester United shirt; it’s the first time he’s ever been sent off for a straight red card in his career.
Sky Sports commentators Jamie Redknapp, Ashley Young, and Darren Bent all thought it was cruel to fire him, therefore it caused a stir.
“No, he slips, his feet go under him,” Redknapp said when asked if he deserved to take a bath early. A yellow card, in my opinion.
Aside from being careless, Young doesn’t think it’s major foul play.
“Yes, he is out of control, but he slips, I don’t think he goes to take out Maddison.”
When Bent first laid eyes on it, he believed it was mischievous. However, his lapse is the most petty of all of his mistakes.
“It is a poor decision, a bad one, a poor one.”
