Savannah James, the wife of NBA superstar LeBron James, recently celebrated her tenth wedding anniversary. In an interview with The Cut, she opened up about her marriage and the lessons she has learned throughout their relationship.

Savannah James expressed that growing up, she had a great example of a successful marriage with her parents. She learned from them that there are ups and downs in any relationship and that it’s important to give grace and not be too hard on yourself or your partner. She also learned that happiness comes from within and that you can’t depend on someone else to make you happy.

Savannah and LeBron James have been together for over 20 years, and they have three children together. In the interview, Mrs. James talked about the importance of being everything to yourself first before being anything to anyone else. She also emphasized the value of communication in a marriage, saying that it’s important to have difficult conversations and be honest with each other.

In her own words, “You can’t depend on someone else for your happiness. You have to be happy. It’s like I said, you can’t be anything to anyone if you’re not everything to yourself first.”

Savannah’s defining moments that led her to know LeBron James was “the one”

When asked about when she knew James was “the one”, Savannah shared two moments that stood out to her. The first was on their first date when she left her leftovers in his car and he called her to say he would bring them back. She realized that LeBron just wanted to see her again and thought it was sweet. The second moment was during a snowstorm when LeBron called her to come out for breakfast. She was initially hesitant because she was still in bed, but her heart urged her to go and they ended up spending the whole day together.

Despite his superstar status on the court, James is widely known for being a devoted family man.
