🔴 This is Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s answer about Erik Ten Hag’s future at Manchester United after winning the FA Cup 🏆🏆

Ten Hag took United to victory at Wembley on Saturday as they beat arch rivals Manchester City, with the Dutchman winning his second trophy in as many years in charge of the club.

Doubt still remains over his future, however, despite the 54-year-old making one final plea to keep his job after lifting the FA Cup trophy.

It was always expected that a decision would be made following Saturday’s final, with Ratcliffe ringing the changes elsewhere off-the-field following his minority takeover of the club earlier this year.

The Brit will be the person that makes the call, with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Kieran McKenna linked with the role, but he remained tight-lipped when asked what his call will be on Saturday.

Ten Hag’s future remains unclear and was always expected to be decided after Saturday’s game

In a video shared by @BradJCox_ on X (formerly Twitter), Ratcliffe was snapped walked through the mixed zone at Wembley following his side’s victory, with the 71-year-old seen congratulating Ten Hag and his players on the stadium’s balcony before their trophy lift.

He walked, straight-faced, next to right hand man Sir Dave Brailsford, and wasn’t approached until he reached the end of the corridor.

Moments before he was about to walk through the exit, a reporter shouted: ‘Sir Jim,’ with the United co-owner stopping and looking to his left.

Brailsford could instantly be seen putting his hand on his partner’s back, as if to usher him through the door, but Ratcliffe appeared determined to hear the reporter out, stopping in his tracks as he approached the exit of the room inside Wembley.

After a brief pause, he was asked: ‘Is Erik staying?’

In response, he turned his back on the person asking the question, walking through the door with murmurs heard in the mixed zone.

Speaking after the game, Ten Hag admitted he was unsure if he had taken charge of his final game as United manager

Ten Hag made one final plea to save his job after the game, admitting he didn’t know if he had just taken charge of his final game with the club.

He once again blamed injuries for his side’s disappointing campaign, which saw them finish eighth – their worst-ever finish in the Premier League – and qualify for Europe only through the FA Cup victory.
