The sight of the brave, newly-acquired mother dog lying next to her children tore my heart. The image was a desperate plea for help.
This poor mother dog was completely on her own.
How could he be strong when he had gotten rid of so many things?
According to her necklace, her previous owners had discarded her, probably because she was pregnant. Deprived of adequate food, water or shelter, this gentle soul wandered the streets in search of a safe place to give birth to.
However, sometimes games simply remain games. The birth took her by surprise, forcing her to give birth right there, on the street, on a humble piece of cardboard.
Six cubs showed up this day that day, so tragically, two of them fierce angels from the start.
Despite her extreme sadness, as soon as she saw the people approaching, the mother gathered the last reserves of her strength and stood up. She had to protect her precious offspring.
Realizing that these people were there to help her, she cried in a completely defensive manner, acting aggressively to protect her babies. It seemed as if she realized that there were bad-hearted people in the world and that everyone was hurt.
The rescue team confronted three fierce explorers with the mother before they finally managed to capture her, along with her little opponents, and relocate them to a safe place.

That day, the mother was fed three times, in stark contrast to the typical daily meals of once or twice for dogs. She devoured approximately 5 portions of liver in her first two meals, testimony to her hunger.
