For a young family, having three toddlers is already quite a handful. However, one couple decided to take things up a notch by adding two massive dogs into the mix – and it’s nothing short of heartwarming. Bee and Joshua Fisher from California have captured the hearts of netizens all over the world by showcasing the beautiful bond between their two enormous dogs, who resemble bears, and their three young sons. Instead of getting a horse, Joshua opted for a larger breed of dog after doing some research on which breeds are suitable for kids, ultimately settling on Newfoundlands.
Joshua and Bee Fisher, a couple hailing from California, made the decision to adopt two Newfoundlands as pets instead of a horse. The Fishers reside in Long Beach and often post pictures of their furry family on Instagram. In 2014, they adopted Ralphie, a one-year-old Newfoundland, and added another family member, Boss, who was also a one-year-old Newfoundland, a year later. These giant dogs can weigh over 126lbs (nine stone) and measure up to six feet from the tip of their nose to the end of their tail. The couple admitted to being taken aback when they first met a Newfoundland in person. Bee recalls being surprised and laughing at how enormous they were. Despite this, they couldn’t resist adopting more and Joshua persuaded Bee to add another canine companion to their household.
Meet Cruz, the three-year-old companion of a Newfoundland Boss. These gentle giants can reach over 126lbs and measure up to six feet from snout to tail!
Ralphie and Boss, two adorable pups, are lovingly surrounded by an eight-month-old baby named Tegan and his parents. Although Tegan hasn’t started crawling yet, his parents are confident that he will soon be exploring with the dogs. The kids are absolutely fascinated by the size of these gentle giants. The oldest child, Lenox, loves to relax with the dogs and lie on them. Cruz, who is three years old, is eager to play with the pups and poke and prod them. As for Tegan, he’s still a little too young to crawl, but he’ll be joining in on the fun with Ralphie and Boss in no time. Ralphie weighs in at 125 pounds (8.9 stone), while Boss tips the scales at a hefty 160 pounds (11.4 stone). When fully grown, Boss is expected to reach a whopping 190 pounds (13.5 stone).
Meet Ralphie and Boss, the adorable furry friends of this happy family. Ralphie weighs a whopping 125 pounds, while Boss is even bigger at 160 pounds! The children, Tegan (eight months), Cruz (three), and Lenox, must love having such big and cuddly companions around. Boss is still growing and expected to reach a massive 190 pounds when fully grown.
These dogs are amazing at playing with kids and show nothing but love and affection towards them. Joshua, the owner, even mentioned that they are gentle giants and can be taken anywhere. They are like lap dogs and are very well-behaved. However, because of their popularity, it’s hard to get anything done quickly as everyone wants to take a photo or pet them. Despite their large size, the Fishers have trained them well, and they fit perfectly in their normal-sized home.
According to Joshua and Bee Fisher, their house is of a standard size and they have successfully trained their dogs to behave well and stay under control while being indoors.
According to the couple, their dogs are famous and often attract people’s attention who want to pet and capture pictures with them. While having these huge pets, the downside is managing their excessive drool. Joshua mentioned that their slobbering can ruin their work clothes as they shake their heads. To tackle the situation, they keep towels in different areas of the house. Additionally, their hair is scattered everywhere, which can be a bit overwhelming, but the couple thinks it’s worth it.
