While posing for their official portrait, Indiana Conservation Officer Levi Knach and his K-9 partner Kenobi ended up stealing the heart of the Internet.
The adorable outtakes from the photo shoot are going viral because of Kenobi’s impromptu demonstration of attention.
In the photos, instead of posing for the camera, Kenobi gives Knach a kiss on the cheek.
He licked his handler’s cheek and nearly knocks his hat off.
It seems that Kenobi just playfully warming up for his serious pose and after a few more pictures, Kenobi looked directly at the camera and posed for the perfect portrait shot.
It’s easy to see why these photos are going viral. There’s clearly a lot of love and respect between the partners. There’s also strong, professional team.
Indiana State Parks wrote on Facebook, “Kenobi is cute, but make no mistake – he is a trained, working officer and can track people and locate a variety of objects ranging from venison to ginseng.”
