According to recent sources, Real Madrid will officially announce Kylian Mbappe as their new star early next week.
Mbappe is preparing to debut for Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe has said goodbye to his former teammates at PSG, and there has been much information that he will join the Spanish giants as a free agent this summer.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side will face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. And after that match ended, it was reported that the Mbappe deal would be quickly confirmed.
L’Equipe reports that Mbappe will be unveiled as Real Madrid’s new player on Monday, less than 48 hours after the final at Wembley. But before playing his first matches for Los Blancos, he will participate in international matches with the French team at EURO 2024.
During a training session with the national team on Thursday, Mbappe met fans and even signed a Real Madrid shirt for one lucky winner. This is said to be a sure sign that this deal will be completed soon.
Although there was previously information about conflicts between PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Mbappe, the relationship between the two sides is said to still be good. Both club and player confirmed there was an agreement to respect PSG’s huge investment in Mbappe’s development since he moved from Monaco for 200 million euros in 2017.
Mbappe won the Coupe de France in his final game for PSG on Saturday, ending his final season at the club with 44 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Mbappe leaves PSG as the team’s all-time top scorer, with 256 goals in 308 appearances during his seven years in Paris.
