According to Marca, Real Madrid Castilla’s young player Jacobo Ramon suffered a muscle issue during a recent training session. Ramon was expected to step in for Eder Militao in the center of Real Madrid’s defense after the Brazilian sustained an injury while with the national team, preparing for two World Cup 2026 qualifying matches.
Additionally, midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni was forced to leave the French squad due to an inability to participate in this month’s two Nations League matches.
Before Ramon, Militao, and Tchouameni, Real Madrid’s injury list already included Joan Martinez, David Alaba, Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ferland Mendy.
The Bernabeu side has struggled in the new season. Despite having depth, coach Carlo Ancelotti didn’t make many signings in the 2024 summer, which now adds to his concerns. Bellingham and Camavinga’s injuries are especially worrisome due to their importance in midfield. Defensive absences also pile up, pressuring Ancelotti to rely on less experienced players.
Real Madrid’s start has been lackluster, with 2 wins and 2 draws, trailing Barcelona by 4 points.
