The sanctuary took a picture of the dogs holding onto each other, and it changed their fates.
Dogs are pack animals. That’s one of the reasons they form such strong attachments to people. However sometimes, dogs form these bonds with members of their very own types too.
This can happen if a dog shares their home with one more dog. In some cases, they’ll likewise form a bond when they’re in a sanctuary.

Apollo and Adonis are a example of ‘bonded canines.’
Their futures were uncertain, so brothers Adonis and Apollo hung on to every other tight and hugged as their proprietor surrendered them. Perhaps they had a hunch that they were being placed in one of Texas’ high-kill shelters.

Both dogs were so frightened that they were trembling when Cindy Droogmans, the creator of the Long-Island based A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs, first came across them.
Thanks to Droogmans’ company, Adonis and Apollo didn’t need to stay in that scary place for long.

Once Droogmans brought the two bros to her veterinarian in Huntington, New York, she discovered the real reason that their owner ditched them at the sanctuary.
” Most likely they are dumped since they are heartworm positive, like many dogs in Texas,” Droogmans Said. “They remain in full treatment now.”

In spite of their troubles, these priceless little friends remained indivisible, always holding and cuddling each other for comfort. Usually, Droogmans would find a home for every of the canines.
