Not all dogs have best friends, and maybe not all of them will be capable of making them. However, you will surprise to see a special couple dogs in here, you have to think about humanship .
Five-year-old pooch Picasso was born with a ᴛᴡɪsᴛᴇᴅ sɴᴏᴜᴛ while his new best pal Newt, one, was ʟᴇfᴛ ᴡɪᴛʜ ɴᴏ ᴜᴘᴘᴇʀ ᴊᴀᴡ after being ʙɪᴛᴛᴇɴ by his mum as a pup. Two dogs with sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ fᴀᴄɪᴀʟ ᴅᴇfᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs have become inseparable best friends.
Liesl Wilhardt, 53, founder and director of Lovable Dog Rᴇsᴄᴜᴇ, has sʜᴀʀᴇᴅ ᴀ ɢʟɪᴍᴘsᴇ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴜɴʙʀᴇᴀᴋᴀʙʟᴇ friendship of two dogs, Picasso, and Newt. Both pooches have sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ fᴀᴄɪᴀʟ ᴅᴇfᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs, but still lead happy lives on 55 acres of land at their home in Oregon, U.S.
Liesl ᴀᴅᴏᴘᴛᴇᴅ Picasso in 2017 after his brother suddenly ᴅɪᴇᴅ and later ᴀᴅᴏᴘᴛᴇᴅ Newt in 2021, and before long the two became ɪɴsᴇᴘᴀʀᴀʙʟᴇ. Despite daily challenges as a result of their ᴅᴇfᴏʀᴍɪᴛɪᴇs and Newt’s ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄᴀʟ ɪssᴜᴇs, the pair now lead very happy lives.
We get to see their friendship in a series of clips from their day to day activities, including feeding, playing together, walks and picking for berries .
Liesl said: “It was a miracle that Picasso sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴇᴅ being a baby, because it would have been very hard for him to even nurse from his mom. Newt has had many more ᴄʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇs, sᴜʀᴘʀɪsɪɴɢʟʏ ᴛʜᴇ ʙɪɢɢᴇʀ ᴄʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇs not being caused by his lack of upper jaw.”
“Both Picasso and Newt adore people, so in public they are very out going and seek attention and love to greet people. Most people do immediate double takes and then stare at the dogs for a while, trying to make sense of what they are seeing. They are not in any ᴘᴀɪɴ; they have ᴀᴅᴀᴘᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ᴘʜʏsɪᴄᴀʟ ᴄʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇs and do almost everything they want to do. Picasso loved Newt from the beginning because Newt loves to ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴀɴᴅ ᴡʀᴇsᴛʟᴇ and is so good natured. This friendship has deepened as Newt matured. I absolutely love Picasso and Newt with all my heart, they are both ɪɴᴄʀᴇᴅɪʙʟʏ ʟᴏᴠɪɴɢ, ʜᴀᴘᴘʏ, ɪɴᴛᴇʟʟɪɢᴇɴᴛ, and funny dogs.”
