Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James may have the most impressive physique in the NBA, but former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Tristan Thompson insists it’s not the result of good eating habits.
In an interview with The Athletic’s Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd, Thompson gave insight into LeBron’s diet, which contradicts his status as a world-class basketball player. That:
“He has the worst diet ever. Ask him what he eats for breakfast. He eats five French toast, dunks it in syrup with strawberries potatoes and bananas. Then he eats a four-egg omelette and goes and just f–king attacks someone. That makes no sense.
“He eats dessert with every meal. He’ll do a week-long, vegan diet, but he really eats like it means nothing. He’s truly a role model. He ate like s–t. I remember one year I tried to eat like he ate but it didn’t work. I started gaining weight and was like, ‘Fuck this.’ I mean it works for him. He loves sweets. He loves sweets. He eats dessert and French toast. It’s crazy how his body burns it.”
Even at 35 years old, James shows no signs of slowing down, and he’s been as productive as ever this season as one of two bench players on the Lakers alongside Anthony Davis.
With averages of 25.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and an NBA-leading 10.8 assists per game for a Lakers team that is the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, LeBron has a lot of say in the conversation. MVP story in his 17th season.
James has amassed 16 All-Star awards, four NBA MVP awards, three NBA championships and three NBA Finals MVP awards over the course of his storied career, and it appears he is far from done.
LeBron is a once-in-a-generation athlete blessed with unique skills, though there’s no doubt that he’s worked hard at his craft despite seemingly questionable food choices. his.
