abandoned in a shelter is something really difficult to bear.

He can simply understand how overnight his children are already there, and the only thing he wonders is what he did wrong for you to stop loving him.

The family of  Ritter, the protagonist dog , lost their home and unfortunately could not continue to care for him.

With his broken heart he gave it to the Society for the Protection of Animals of Hamilton County, Indiana, United States.

As soon as they left the shelter, sadness took hold of the dog.

Many dogs arrive at the shelter in a confident and lively manner, and Ritter was no exception.

Megan Bosley is a marketing specialist for the Hamilton Humane Society who took in the puppy . She says that when Ritter arrived at the shelter he was very scared and depressed.

Ritter understood why his family had abandoned him and why he had a hard time adjusting to the new environment.

When they saw that the little dog was so sad, everyone in the shelter tried to hug him.  They wanted the little dog to feel loved, but all attempts were unsuccessful .

He really didn’t like it and even though everyone in the shelter paid him attention, it was the same as having a real family.

Ritter just sat against the wall looking at the ground.

Everyone knew that Ritter’s sadness was just a shell, and that deep inside he was a happy little dog eager to go out and play and be loved.

The shelter decided to take photos of him and post them on Facebook in case someone fell in love with Ritter and wanted to adopt him.

Soon the photo was shared thousands of times and fortunately a candidate for adoption appeared.

Sophie Speпia wanted to adopt a puppy and when she saw Ritter she knew he was the right one.

The young woman was just waiting to have her own house because she had a big dog.

Soon after he took ownership, he began building his own home and from then on the little dog was a star member . He began checking out the Humane Society Facebook pages every day until he saw Ritter’s heartwarming photos.

When he read Ritter’s description he felt he had to take him home immediately.

“I immediately texted my sister and told her we had to go get him out of there,” Sophie said.

She asked her sister to accompany her to the shelter after work, since there was definitely a dog to rescue.

Two hours later, his sister sent him a message and told him that the post was going viral, so he had to go sooner.

Speпia spoke with his boss who is also a dog lover and headed to the shelter.

The young woman immediately submitted Ritter’s adoption application and took the beautiful dog home a few days later.

Ritter couldn’t stop smiling at his new mom and is now adjusting to his new home .

The puppy’s sadness disappeared when he felt that he was going to have the best mother. We are sure that she will make him happy and give him unforgettable memories. However, his sad beginning at the shelter should be a reminder to all dog owners. They are such sensitive creatures, who live and suffer, who do not deserve to have our hearts broken in this way.

May Ritter’s story serve to motivate more people to adopt dogs who, like him, need a home that gives them endless love.
