Today is my 2nd birthday, and I’m feeling sad because no one has thought to wish me a happy birthday 

Birthdays, no matter how small, hold a special kind of magic. They’re moments to celebrate love, life, and the joy of simply being here. But what happens when that magic feels absent?

Today is my 2nd birthday, a milestone I thought would be filled with love and sweet surprises. Yet, the day feels strangely quiet, as if it slipped by unnoticed by those around me. No messages, no cheerful “Happy Birthday!”—just silence.

It’s a bit lonely, isn’t it? That feeling of being overlooked on a day that’s meant to be yours. Birthdays are more than just dates on a calendar; they’re a reminder that we matter to the people in our lives. So when that reminder doesn’t come, it stings.

But here’s something I’m reminding myself of: even if others don’t see the significance of this day, it doesn’t make it any less meaningful. I’m learning to celebrate myself, to find joy in the small things, and to treat my birthday as a personal celebration of growth, resilience, and self-love.

To anyone else who feels unseen on their birthday: your light shines regardless of who notices. You are special, and you are worth celebrating—not just today, but every day.
