Someone saw a dog with a badly disfigured face wandering through the streets and posted its photo on a local Facebook group.
PҺoenix is a pit bull, but you might not know that by looking at him.
When Phoenix was rescued for the first time in November, no one had any idea what this poor dog had been through.
It doesn’t appear that Phoenix’s disfigurement was the direct result of mistreatment by humans, which is good news.
Doctors have done biopsies on his wife, he visits a special veterinary dermatologist and is slowly starting to heal thanks to his hard work.
Doctors concluded that PҺoenix has a root autoimmune disease called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
However, with appropriate treatment, SLE can be controlled.
Still, a cute dog is basically the cutest thing ever.
