Bethany Coleman couldn’t believe her eyes when she was walking her dog, Rogue, and came across another dog that looked just like her Cairn terrier mix. The twin pup, later named Beast, was with Last Hope K9 Rescue for an adoption event.
Initially, Bethany was hesitant about adopting another dog. Her boyfriend wanted another pooch, but she disagreed. They already had two older cats and Rogue, so adding another pet seemed overwhelming. However, once the two dogs started playing together, Bethany knew she couldn’t leave Rogue’s twin behind.
Despite appearances, Rogue and Beast aren’t from the same litter. It was fate that brought these pups together.
Bethany shared her story with Bored Panda. She was walking Rogue to the local farmers market when they passed a rescue’s adoption setup. That’s when she spotted Beast, who looked strikingly similar to Rogue.
Bethany had been against getting another dog, but she instantly fell in love with Beast. “He was Rogue’s twin!” she said. Seeing the two dogs happily playing together, Bethany decided to adopt Beast.
Bethany filled out the adoption paperwork, and soon, Beast was part of their family. The transition wasn’t entirely smooth. Rogue, Beast, and the two cats needed time to adjust to each other.
“It took about a month for everyone, including the cats, to find their groove,” Bethany explained. Once they established their pack order, it was clear that bringing Rogue and Beast together was the right decision.
Rogue and Beast even have their own Instagram account to share their adventures. The family recently moved from Boston to Hawaii. Although the pups miss chasing squirrels, they’re starting to enjoy their new home.
Beast loves the beach and is trying to teach Rogue how to leave the crabs alone for some fun in the sun. It’s evident that these two adorable dogs coming together was an act of fate. Everything truly happens for a reason!
