A devastated mother dog was forced to say goodbye to her puppy after he was adopted in central China. Since mid-September, when she gave birth to a litter of seven puppies, the mixed-breed stray dog has been in the care of students at Zhengzhou University in Henan province.

The video, which was recorded on Monday, shows the tearful mother kissing her brown puppy before sending him off to his new owner.
The owner was seen carrying the puppy in her arms to her scooter, while the worried mother followed behind.
The mother dog stood next to the owner’s scooter, head and tail down and ears down, as if pleading to see her puppy again.
The owner lowered the puppy to his mother, who kissed and licked him goodbye.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of your pup,” the owner can be heard promising the mother dog.
The mother dog then turns her head and walks away, but not before taking one last look at her adorable pup.
Millions of people have been moved by the ⱱігаɩ video, with many saying the tragic goodbye looks like “something out of a movie.”
