A tragic photo of a dog in need has devastated hearts less than a week ago, and Stray гeѕсᴜe of St. Louis received a rescue call. It was a Good Samaritan who contacted the nonprofit for help.
No one knew how long the dog, whom his rescuers named Jessie, had been living on the streets. Jessie was in such a bad state that she had to be taken to the vet. The infection could be smelled in the car by staff and volunteers, and her injuries were not new. She had an infected eye, a deep wound on her head and her tongue hanging out of her mouth.
And as she began to feel better, there were already signs that Jessie had won the hearts of the entire һoѕріtаɩ staff:
THIS IS THE MOST ADORABLE DOG. HE’S ONLY ONE YEAR OLD AND WEIGHS A LITTLE OVER 20 POUNDS. HIS SWELLING HAS DECREASED A LOT, AND WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE OFFER HIM A TEDDY TO HUG.
And, just to update readers on Jessie’s whereabouts, we have a fantastic update from Stray гeѕсᴜe of St. Louis:
WELCOME BACK, JESSIE
TODAY, WE BROUGHT JESSIE HOME. She WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO THANK HER DOCTORS AND NURSES ENOUGH FOR TAKING CARE OF HER AND GETTING HER TO THIS POINT WITH 24 HOURS A DAY CARE. TODAY, ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS GET FAMILIAR WITH US AND REST. “OH, SHE’S SO TINY!” She says EVERYONE WHO KNOWS HER.
Imagine how wonderful it must have been for Jessie to spend some time in the sun rolling around on her back. Imagine how she feels when she only receives compliments and sweet hugs.
Thank you to everyone who has helped her with her needs. Thanks to her help, she was able to stay at the һoѕріtаɩ and receive the emergency care she needed.
Her procedures will be scheduled soon, but for now she will be able to rest in a host family selected especially for her. More updates coming soon.
What can be more beautiful than a tragic beginning that transforms into a magnificent story of love and healing?
