Taylor Swift ended speculation that she purposely avoided Céline Dion at the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday night with a sweet selfie.
Dion has been out of the public spotlight since December 2022, when she stated that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological ailment. However, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer made a surprise appearance during the ceremony at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena to present the Album of the Year award to Taylor Swift for Midnights. Swift’s win was a big feat, making her the first artist to win Album of the Year four times—and she understandably got caught up in the celebrations. Swift appeared to take the golden gramophone from Dion’s hands without noticing it as she approached the stage and hugged her fellow collaborators and producers.

That did not sit well with the Canadian superstar’s social media followers. “Taylor not even acknowledging Celine Dion is not sitting right with my spirit,” one X user wrote. “Girl, that is CELINE DION.”
