In Real Madrid’s Champions League game against Napoli on Wednesday, midfielder Jude Bellingham wore some adidas Predators that had not been released yet.
Bellingham wore new adidas Predator boots that look like the ones Zinedine Zidane wore when he played for Real Madrid. The boots have not been taken off yet, and they seem to be working because the England player scored to put his team ahead 2-1 in the first half.
These days, Bellingham isn’t the first big name to wear adidas boots that haven’t been released yet on the pitch. Trent Alexander-Arnold, a right back for Liverpool, was seen wearing the next version of adidas Predator boots on Saturday during their 1-1 draw with Manchester City. With his celebration against Cadiz over the weekend, the Madrid midfielder also hinted at the return of the Predators’ famous tongue.
His goal against Napoli was his 15th this season across all categories. The 20-year-old has scored four goals in as many Champions League games. This is on top of the eleven goals he has scored in 12 La Liga games since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bellingham and the rest of Madrid’s team had already qualified for the next round of the Champions League before their match against Napoli last week. On Saturday, they play again when they host Granada in La Liga.
