When asked to nаme his all-time favourite basketball player, Bronny James, LeBron James’s son, gave an answer that didn’t come as a surprise.
Bronny, 19, thought about the question for a moment and then answered with a nod to his famous dad. “Like, LeBron James or something,” Bronny said with a smile.
Bronny chose the number 6 to wear for the University of Southern California. This is the same number that his father wore for two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers before moving back to the 23 for this season.

The answer Bronny gave made his friends laugh, and you can hear them in the background of the video that USC Basketball shared on X (formerly Twitter).
The teen is the oldest of LeBron’s three kids. He has a 16-year-old brother named Bryce and a 9-year-old sister named Zhuri. On September 14, LeBron and his wife, Savannah James, marked 10 years of marriage.
“LBJ and Savannah—you are doing extremely well in the parent department,” an NBA legend fan said on Bronny’s video.
This year, Bronny was one of the most sought-after high school players, but the date of his first game is still unknown. The new season starts on November 6 when USC plays Kansas State in Las Vegas in the Hall of Fаme Series. Bronny is still recovering from the heart arrest he had in July, so it is not known if he will be in the lineup. He was told he had “an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect” and had surgery to fix it.
In August, Bronny’s family said in a statement, “We are very confident in his full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future.”
USC basketball coach Andy Enfield told ESPN on September 24 that Bronny was “doing very well,” but they couldn’t sаy anything else because of his health. We’re very proud of him because he goes to class and does really well in school.
LeBron’s son did not practise with the team for the first time on September 23, and the university has not said anything else about his health.
The player did show up at USC’s yearly HoopLA event on October 1, where he met fans. An Instagram account for USC said, “@bronny Һit the dougie during his Trojan HoopLA intro.” He danced during his arrival.
LeBron won the NBA Rookie of the Year award with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. Before that, he played high school basketball in Akron, Ohio, until he was 18. He has now scored over 38,000 points, making him the NBA’s all-time winner in points. Before he can enjoy seeing his son play in college, he wants to see another James star in the NBA.
In May, Bronny chose to play football for USC. His father said it was “one of the best days of my life.”
Before anything else, I want to praise Bronny on his choice. That time, LeBron spoke to Spectrum SportsNet and said, “I’m so proud of him, and so is our family.” “It’s even more special for me because it’s the first time someone from outside my family has gone to college.” It’s clear that I didn’t go to college.
