Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe will become the majority owner of a professional football club at the age of 25 after signing an agreement with Caen.
There is also information that Mbappe’s move to Caen fell through because the then-president of Caen refused to guarantee the French international a starting position at the age of 16, as his parents had desired, despite Monaco’s willingness to do so. Despite coming close to finalising a contract with Caen, Mbappe chose to join Monaco.
Mbappe recently made his debut for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. The 25-year-old has begun practicing with the team and is set to make his debut for Los Blancos in the European Super Cup against Atalanta next month.
For the time being, Mbappe will strive to make an impact at Caen, which currently competes in Ligue 2, France’s second division. In the long run, Mbappe may even play for his own club, as Didier Drogba did with Phoenix Rising in the United States in 2017.
