KING OF THE DANCE! On USC’s basketball season opener, Bronny James danced with the team but did not play

It’s basketball season, and Bronny James is prepared.

Young LeBron James, son of NBA great LeBron James, was the center of attention as he was introduced at USC’s HoopLA event to usher in the new collegiate basketball season.

At the ceremony, Bronny and his USC teammates greeted supporters when they were introduced.

Bronny, decked out in a red and yellow Trojans jersey and sweatpants, danced his way onto the court.

USC’s Instagram account captioned a video of Bronny’s dance moves by saying, “@bronny hit the dougie during his Trojan HoopLA intro.”

In addition to Bronny, Thursday’s USC gala featured a slew of famous faces. The opening celebration for Trojan fans and athletes featured performances by rapper Saweetie and DJ Zack Bia.

There was a photo of Bronny getting pumped up by his new teammates and other USC students while wearing jersey number 6.

LeBron, at 38 years old, wore jersey number 23 with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010 until 2014, when he returned to the Miami Heat.

LeBron posted videos to his Instagram account after the occasion showing Bronny’s introduction and exit.

At the time of his son’s commitment to play basketball at USC, the Lakers great called it “one of the best days of my life,” as he explained in an interview with Spectrum back in May.

LeBron remarked at the moment, “I’m super proud of him, our family is proud of him.” Because I am the first person in my family to attend college, it means even more to me. Evidently, I did not pursue higher education.

He’s the first in his family to go to college, so it’s a great honor for me to watch him graduate. “I’m super proud of him, and I’m getting emotional thinking about his journey, but overall I’m just super excited and happy for him,” he said.

One of the most anticipated freshman seasons in college basketball is Bronny, a former star at Sierra Canyon.

However, Bronny’s recovery from his cardiac attack in July has slowed his progress, and he may not be ready for the team’s first game on November 9. His cardiac defect was deemed “anatomically and functionally significant” after further testing.

According to ESPN, USC basketball head coach Andy Enfield said, “Bronny’s doing very well, but we just can’t comment on anything medically.” Enfield also said that Bronny did not take part in the team’s first practice of the season on September 23. We’re thrilled that he’s attending school regularly and thriving academically.

After suffering a heart arrest while working out at college in July, Bronny spent two days in the hospital and subsequently had surgery to fix the problem.

LeBron made a public statement on social media after receiving overwhelming positive feedback from his followers. I’d want to express my gratitude to everyone who has sent well wishes to my loved ones. We get it, and I appreciate you so much for writing to us about it.

Everyone is OK. We’re all here, healthy and happy, and we know your love is with us. I’ll have more to share when the time is right, but for now, please know how much we appreciate all of your encouragement. #JamesGang.”
