Joshua Zirkzee lands at Manchester airport with star to undergo medical tomorrow ahead of £34M Manchester United transfer
The Dutch striker is due to undergo a physical tomorrow before signing a five-year contract.
Joshua Zirkzee, a massive Dutch attacker, has secured a big-money move to Old Trafford following his Euro 2024 semi-final defeat to England.
Zirkzee was spotted arriving at Manchester Airport.
He’s set to sign a five-year contract after his medical.
The 6’4″ Dutch international made his Euros debut in a 2-1 quarter-final victory over Turkey.
In Wednesday night’s semi-final, he came on shortly after Ollie Watkins scored England’s winning goal in the 90th minute.
Kobbie Mainoo, a Three Lions and Red Devils midfielder, appeared to greet him warmly as they spoke after the final whistle.
With his move from Bologna, the 23-year-old hopes to put the disappointment of his defeat behind him.
He has now been photographed arriving at Manchester Airport before his physical.
He helped them finish fifth in Serie A last season and qualify for the Champions League, scoring 11 goals in 34 appearances.
He will now be working under one of Manchester United’s greatest ever goal scorers, as the club has officially confirmed Ruud van Nistelrooy’s return to Old Trafford as part of Erik ten Hag’s new coaching staff.
Van Nistelrooy and former Go Ahead Eagles coach Rene Hake will serve as his assistants, with Mitchell van der Gaag and Benni McCarthy out.

Van Nistelrooy is set to get a hero’s welcome from United fans, having scored 150 goals in 219 appearances between 2001 and 2006, winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.
He also holds a League Cup Winners medal from 2005-06, albeit he did not compete in the final.

The Man Utd new lad amassed useful figures in the Italian top division.
Ten Hag’s current contract expires in 2026, therefore the pair have signed two-year contracts until then.
Ten Hag stated, “I am delighted that Rene and Ruud have agreed to join our project, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge, and new energy to the team.”
“Now is a good time to refresh the coaching team as we look to build on the achievements of the past two years and push to the next level.”
Former England coach Steve McClaren has kept his job, and while Darren Fletcher is no longer Technical Director following the arrival of Jason Wilcox, he has also been retained.
Dan Ashworth, United’s Sporting Director, stated: “We are working with Erik to develop all aspects of our men’s first team operations, and updating the coaching staff is an important element of that.
“It’s a particular pleasure to welcome Ruud back to the club where he enjoyed so much success as a player, and I know that he and Rene will help reinforce the winning mentality and high standards we are aiming for.”
