When Daisy, the dog she watched, was no longer useful to her owner, she was abandoned and left to fend for herself. She barely managed to survive on scraps of food in a dangerous part of town.
Daisy was cruelly tied to a tree by a resident who saw her as a “nuisance” in the area. She was left there for over 24 hours before a person named “DAR Animal гeѕсᴜe” called for help. When rescuer Ermioni arrived, Daisy was incoherent from worry, hunger, and loneliness.
When Ermioni approached Daisy, she was so petrified that she believed she was about to be harmed, even though not a single different person had come forward to help her.
When Ermioni approached the dog, Daisy’s eyes widened in fear. When Erminoni finally managed to catch Daisy, she realized that the animal was terrified. She could feel his heart beating rapidly and did her best to hug him and please him.
Ermioni quickly freed Daisy from the ropes and picked her up. She was horrified by how the residents around her simply stared at her, showing no interest in Daisy at all. Ermioni was offered special appearances, but no one bothered to ask if Daisy was okay.
Sadly, Daisy’s well-being was not good when she went to the vet. She had low blood pressure, excess white blood cells, and diarrhea due to the current condition. However, thanks to treatment, Daisy quickly recovered once again and was able to return to the shelter within a few days.
Although Daisy was better physically, the emotional damage she suffered still showed up in others. She was shy and stood out among both people and animals. When she saw other dogs playing, it only served to remind her how lost she felt. In fact, it will be a long time before she fully recovers mentally.
The staff has been very patient with Daisy, letting her heal progressively and at her own pace. As time went on, she became much less fearful and even began to wag her tail weakly. In the end, she recognized that she was safe and loved, and enthusiastically accepted her second chance at life!
She now resides in her forever home, relaxed and with a joy that only a German dog could recognize. She loves spending time with her family and her doggie siblings, showing off how happy she is through beautiful smiles. If the people in the community where she was tied up years ago can see how serenely happy she is now, perhaps they could become more empathetic to strays in the future.
