“I cried and begged my parents not to kill the dog
Before it was slaughtered, I sat and hugged it, tears fell from its eyes, kept crying, I also cried at that time.
That day, when I was in 6th grade, my mother bought me a small dog to raise and I considered it my best friend. When he grew up, my mother decided to prepare meat for my aunt and uncle to inaugurate the new house. I cried in pain, even fasted to ask my parents not to butcher it, but my parents did not agree.
Before he was killed, I sat and hugged him, his tears fell, he kept crying, I also cried at that time. Then the moment it was killed, I had to run to the fields so I wouldn’t witness that scene.
I ran and sobbed and his screams for help kept echoing in my head. I thought of the image of it writhing, struggling desperately for help, but I was helpless, unable to do anything.
It was dark, so I returned home to collect its fur and paws and bury it. That day I was very sad and angry with my parents for a whole month.
That same year, I witnessed my neighbor move out of the house without taking the dog. It chased the small truck carrying that family’s belongings until it could no longer run because it was too tired. After that, he was raised by a family in the neighborhood, but he looked very sad and was no longer as happy as before.”
