WE NXT superstar Ava has teased a huge career move which could see her embrace her family’s wrestling roots in The Bloodline.
The 22-year-old rising star, whose father is Hollywood and WWE icon Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, was left heartbroken earlier this month when her on-screen family Schism fell apart.
Ava has regularly appeared as part of NXT since her debut on October 25, 2022, but the group led by Joe Gacy has dissolved and he recently urged the fourth generation performer to ‘go’ and ‘find her purpose’.
On this week’s episode of NXT she appeared to be doing exactly that, as a video from the NXT Anonymous X (formerly Twitter) account showcase a very interesting conversation.
In the clip, fans couldn’t make out what was being said but she was seen in a room speaking to Paul Heyman, who is a central figure in Roman Reigns’ Bloodline faction, and he had The Bloodline written on his phone case.
Currently including brothers Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, the group’s leader Roman is a cousin of Ava’s father The Rock, which would make her a perfect fit if she wanted to join.
Although she hasn’t gone into detail on their conversation, Ava – whose real name is Simone Johnson – simply tweeted: ‘good chat @HeymanHustle’.
As well as plenty of side eye emojis, other fans went more direct with their excitement over the unexpected exchange.
‘See you soon in the bloodline, ava,’ wrote one viewer, while another added: ‘Welcome to the family’.
While it’s very much early days, this could be the start of something special after The Rock recently hinted something could be in the pipeline for WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia in April after plans for a match with Roman fell through for this year’s event.
‘There’s WrestleMania in Philadelphia… I’m open,’ he told Pat McAfee. ‘The fans deserve something incredible and unprecedented.’
