A puppy that had been hit by a car was discovered on a highway near Wamego on Saturday and has since found a new home.
On their trip to Manhattan, Coleman Electric employees found a puppy in a car transporter truck. Matt McMillan and Steve McLean were able to get the double-decker transporter truck down with the help of the drivers. To save the dog, they will be able to stop the car.
After the rescue, Mcmillan cared for the dog at the work site. Karmel, a retriever-lab mix puppy, is 4 months old.
Since we found her, she just sat at your feet because she is the sweetest little puppy, Mcmillan said. I think she needed to get her strength back because she had slept most of the previous two days.
Crime Stoppers is now offering increased rewards for information about a body found in west Wichita. Mcmillan believed she couldn’t live without her after recently abandoning one of her own dogs.
On Tuesday, Mcmillan took the dog to be cared for. The original owners responded that they did not want him back when they were contacted. They initially brought the dog home from a shelter in Manhattan.
