Stacey Pettit from Rescue & RemEMBER recently rescued a dog living in a horrible crate for six years. She had another dog living alongside her in separate boxes. However, they never had a chance to interact.

The smell coming out of their bodies was horrid, but it did not matter to Stacey because she knew these dogs needed her help. The rescuer expected them to act negatively, but they just gave kisses.

The giant dog was named Angelica, and the little one was Spud. Both of them were thankful to have been saved. Amy Creels from Knine Rescue Inc. was able to get Spud adopted in a few weeks because he was in better shape.

However, when Angelica came to the rescue, Amy did not know what to expect from the dog. She was a bit of a challenge because she had been in a crate for such a long time that they had to build strength in her back legs.

Amy was blown away by the instant trust Angelica showed towards humans. One day, the kind woman decided to take Angelica on a car ride. The innocent animal was very excited and did not know what to think. Amy even treated the cute dog with a hamburger.

The dog now had a rope toy and slept in a friendly, soft, warm place. Then, when Amy took her to the park, she kept going to another person and playing with their dog. Soon the people approached the rescuer, and she was adopted by them.

Spud and Angelica were flourishing in their own families, so the rescuers wanted them to get them together and let them know how far they had come. It was the first time they connected in three months. Stacey & Amy realized that all the tears, stress, and anger were worth it when they found these innocent dogs flourishing.
