In search of food and shelter, many dogs roam the streets every day. The dog known as Jhonny waits all day for kind people to pet and feed him. He is believed to have no owners.
Although the employees of the La Espiga bakery fed him and gave him some of their products, they unfortunately had to close, and now the furry one waits outside the bakery, hoping his friends will come out and give him some bread like they used to.
It’s distressing to think about the number of dogs living on the streets, where they are vulnerable to disease, abuse, and even starvation. Fortunately, there are always people who care about these dogs. Now they hope that every time people see Jhonny, they will be tempted to adopt or feed him.
A puppy waits for food outside the bakery, unaware that it is permanently closed.
According to Facebook user Amandi Rodríguez Maya, she posted on the group Perdidos Perdidos de Tampico Madero y Altamira that a dog she believes has no owners was crying outside a bakery that closed its doors permanently and that no one had come to greet him as usual or to give him food or bread as they did before.
The “La Espiga” branch in downtown Tampico closed in mid-December 2022, so the innocent dog that waited or lay down all day outside the branch, wanting to be fed, will no longer exist.
“The person’s name is Jhonny. He was seen sleeping in front of the Cuidado con el Perro store in the market, but most of the time he waited outside the “La Espiga” bakery because he knew that the staff there always offered him a taco, no matter if it was raining, cold or hot. Now that they closed, he is still outside waiting for his food.” The dog seems to be depressed, the magazine states.
As many readers were inspired by the story and felt sorry for the plight of the gorgeous Johnny, the main aim of the publication is to persuade those who see him to give him something to eat. If you find him, invite him to dinner – he likes packets of kibble and sometimes chicken was one of his favourites – but don’t give him a bone because it hurts him, the magazine advises.
