A rescue team got a call about an injured roaming wandering around a nearby area. This had not been the typical call. The stray dog really did not just need to be rescued to get off the streets. He needed to be rescued or he wouldn’t survive. The roaming had a jar stuck on his head, making eating and drinking an impossibility. The poor dog could hardly breathe!

Rescuers attempted to capture the pup however he continued to run until he hid beneath a bridge, and laid down out of breath. The animal rescuers felt they had no choice however to use a humane tranquilizer dart on the pup. After he was fired by the dart, he escaped once again, but this time onto a busy street. Vehicles whizzed by, honking their horns. The rescuers followed him. When the anesthesia kicked in, the tired dog put down and waited for assistance.

Lastly, the canine was picked up thoroughly and the jar was removed from his head using a special tool. The dog was sedated and very sleepy, but he still managed to show his rescuers his gratitude with some kisses. The dog, now in good hands, was taken into their vehicle. They brought him back to the animal sanctuary. He was thrilled to have a real meal and a bowl of fresh water. The rescue group posted his tale onto social networks and adopters lined up to meet him. He found a permanently home within a few days!

The follow-up tale is of one more dog in a similar situation. Stray animals are so desperate to find food that getting their heads caught in a jar is not that unusual. It’s heartbreaking, to say the least. This poor canine had been wandering around with his head captured inside a plastic jug for more than 2 weeks!

The rescue team also needed to chase him down, after he escaped from them consistently. Fortunately they handled to corner him in a large field. He finally gave up to the kind humans, knowing he had little power left. They also used a unique too and released him from the jar. He is now safe and back at their sanctuary. We are so grateful both dogs are safe! To see more, scroll to the video.
