This heartwarming tale begins when the police discovered Bandit, alone and without a collar, an astonishing 310 miles away from his home. What made this reunion possible was Bandit’s microchip, a tiny device th at held the key to his identity and his long-lost family.

Upon locating the microchip, the authorities swiftly reached out to Bandit’s owner, who lived hundreds of kilometers away. The phone call that followed was filled with excitement and tears of joy as they shared the incredible news of Bandit’s discovery after 8 long months of separation. It was a moment that touched the hearts of everyone involved.

The story of Bandit’s journey home was made possible through the efforts of SPA Montpellier, a nonprofit association dedicated to animal protection. SPA Montpellier has been tirelessly working since 2010 to provide shelter and care to abandoned, abused, and stray dogs and cats in the Occitanie region.
