To lift the elderly woman’s spirits, this dog pays her a daily visit.
Jade, an Australian Shepherd and Shiba Inu mix weighing 35 pounds and 1.5 years old, has been living a “second life” as a support dog, according to Heath, Jade’s human friend who agreed to speak with Bored Panda.
Heath revealed that his fiancee oversees a home health care facility in a brief narrative he posted on Reddit, specifically on the r/Dogs topic (another excellent source of dopamine).
The tale of Jade, who supported an elderly woman when she most needed it while living “a second life,” has just surfaced online.
❤❤
Jade and the woman had been acquainted for some time. Sadly, on the day that was the anniversary of her husband’s passing, the woman’s puppy passed away. She was incredibly upset about this.
He suggested that Jade visit the home of Heath’s girlfriend’s client with them. Since Jade is aware of how old and frail she is, it appears that she is being kind on purpose. According to Heath’s post, she eats breakfast and dinner together with Jade.
Mrs. Riddle reportedly thought the two got along so well that she also gave Jade a “mountain of toys.” Jade can’t help but bounce, squeal, and rush around whenever Heath or his partner asks her if she wants to go to Mrs. Riddle’s house.
According to Heath, the client reportedly said that her life now had meaning. “When I’m at work, Jade goes to Mrs. Riddle’s house. She is accessible Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Jade appears to be working at this full-time now! The fact that Jade voluntarily developed into a therapy dog for someone who experienced a great deal of loss is also quite astounding.
Heath said he got the idea to tell this story because he likes writing and talking about Jade in general. He thought this would be interesting and fun for the cute dog lovers on Reddit.
She was Heath’s dog friend when Jade was only 8 weeks old. He got her from a woman in Palmer, Alaska, hoping she would help his mental state. Jade’s father is an Australian shepherd, and her mother is a hybrid of an American Eskimo dog and a Shiba Inu.
Sadly, Mrs. Riddle had lost her puppy on the day of the anniversary of her husband’s passing.
The two instantly clicked after Heath suggested his girlfriend bring Jade along to see Mrs. Riddle for assistance.
He built a sleeper for his truck as part of his “experiment in frugality and adventure,” and the two are currently boondocking in it.
Jade is adorable, but she also guards me and other people fiercely because she sees them as part of our pack. She is very soft. Jade’s dogonality was further elaborated by Heath, who said, “She’s curled up against my side as I’m writing this. Caninality? Dogsona? You decide what to do.
She is partially an Eskimo dog, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that she likes running. Heath admitted that he frequently fastens a harness to her and lets her pull him along the Coastal Trail in Anchorage, Alaska while he skateboards.
Spending time with Mrs. Riddle is very important to Jade.
She likes to play fetch. I bought her about 60 racquetballs for her first birthday and gave them to her all at once. She went absolutely crazy as the balls bounced around.
Like Heath, she is a trained dog. She first encountered beef liver treats at that time and has been smitten with them ever since. However, let’s return to the story. Mrs. Riddle was not her real name, but Heath made it clear in the comments that she was a former Texas teacher. Regarding comments, everybody praised Jade and her story.
Heath adopted her when she was just an 8-week-old puppy to help him with his mental health.
So tiny and adorable
The public thought it was awesome that Heath and his girlfriend are sharing the joy that dogs can bring simply by being amazing people, and even more so for those who need it. Dogs also appear to possess a sixth sense when it comes to identifying people who require assistance.
According to a commenter, dogs are only capable of comprehending unconditional love. We are happy that we have it even though as a species we don’t really deserve it. Others praised Heath for his generosity in allowing Mrs. Riddle to spend the day with Jade and for being kind to her. It appears that Jade enjoys it as well, so everything goes smoothly.
Jade, who is 1.5 years old, enjoys playing with balls, jumping around, eating treats made from beef liver, and, of course, spending time with Mrs. Riddle. Overall, it’s a success since Jade seems to enjoy it as well.
What a wonderful dog, Jade is amazing, let’s wish her the best!!!
