Today is my 4th birthday, and I’m feeling sad because no one has thought to wish me a happy birthday 

Birthdays are supposed to be filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging. They’re the days we hope to be showered with love and kindness from those we care about. But today, as I celebrate my 4th birthday, it feels as though the world has forgotten.

No cheerful “Happy Birthday!” has come my way, no messages of love or celebration. It’s a strange kind of sadness—a quiet ache that whispers, “Do I matter?”

But as I sit with these feelings, I’m reminded of something important: birthdays are not just about being celebrated by others. They’re also a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown, and how much love we deserve—even from ourselves.

So, today, I’m choosing to celebrate me. I’ll treat myself to something special, take a moment to appreciate who I am, and remind myself that my worth isn’t tied to others remembering my special day.

To anyone else who feels unseen on their birthday: you’re not alone. Your value doesn’t depend on anyone else’s recognition. You are amazing, unique, and worth celebrating every day of the year.
