When we adopt a pet, we are making a lifelong commitment. This rule does not have any exceptions. However, it appears that not all dog owners are aware of this. One dog’s owner believed he was no longer worthy of his house after he was badly damaged and went blind. The dog had been very dehydrated and starved by the time he was discovered.

The unfortunate dog was discovered sleeping in the mud, no longer “worthy” of a roof over his head. He was dehydrated and hungry, and he was weak. This is where the dog opted to lay till he died. Since the one person he actually loved had abandoned him, he had concluded that his life was finished.

Rescuers arrived exactly in time to save him! They carried him into their vehicle since he was too weak to stand. It was time to take this puppy to the vet and get him treated! On his way over, the little youngster was extremely patient. Sure, he was terrified, but he also knew that these kind people would come to his aid. He now realized that his death didn’t have to come so soon.

The dog’s condition had progressed to the point of starvation, according to the veterinarian. He was anemic to the point of needing numerous blood transfusions. The rescuers made as many phone calls as they could while the doggie warrior was being treated. They also put a request on Facebook for a foster home. This poor guy shouldn’t have to remain at the veterinarian’s office any longer than necessary. He needed to know what it was like to be loved in a household!

The rescuers received a call from a charming woman the next afternoon. She has worked with blind animals before and wanted to give her house to the dog as a safe haven for him to recover. It was a match made in heaven. He met his new foster mom after the vet cleared him physically, and it was love at first smell!
