In a horrific act of cruelty, an owner heartlessly tied their pregnant dog, Lara, to a tree in a remote forest, abandoning her to a cruel fate. Remarkably, Lara not only survived this ordeal but also gave birth to puppies and, while still bound to that tree, protected and cared for them for a full 10 days.

Lara, a Pit Bull mix, found herself pregnant, and sadly, her owner deemed her and her soon-to-arrive puppies as unworthy of care. Instead of seeking a new home or a shelter for her, they committed an unthinkable act of cruelty. They took Lara deep into the forests near Nafplion, Greece, and tied her to a tree, leaving her there to suffer.

Lara was heavily pregnant when this cruel act took place, and she was left alone, tied to that tree in the unforgiving cold of the forest’s depths, far from civilization. Astonishingly, while still bound by her restraints, Lara gave birth to four beautiful puppies.

But the real hero of this story is Lara herself. Despite the absence of food, water, and shelter, she managed to keep her fragile puppies alive for a remarkable 10 days. It was an incredible testament to a mother’s unwavering love and determination to protect her offspring.

Word of Lara’s dire situation reached the ears of some compassionate villagers who immediately alerted rescue teams. They rushed to the forest to free Lara and her puppies. Tragically, one of the puppies had already succumbed to the harsh conditions.

Yet, thanks to the devotion and care of the rescuers, the remaining three puppies and their resilient mother began their journey to recovery. Today, they are thriving, embodying the playful and endearing spirit of puppies.

We fervently hope that the original owner of Lara faces the consequences for their cruel actions. Thankfully, the rescuers intervened just in time to prevent a worse tragedy. Now, our wish is for these precious puppies to find loving forever homes, where they can grow up in safety and happiness.
