Sad birthday, only Black by my side and a hug. I c.r.i.e.d. – dubi

It was Roro’s birthday, a day that used to be filled with joy and celebration. This year, however, everything felt different. The absence of his mother weighed heavily on his heart, casting a shadow over the entire day.

Roro sat quietly by the old oak tree in the village square, the place where his mother used to take him for birthday picnics. The tree’s branches swayed gently in the breeze, but the usual comfort they provided felt hollow without her there. Roro’s small, fluffy form seemed even smaller as he curled up beneath the tree, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to spill from his bright, sad eyes.

Beside him sat Black, a loyal and gentle old dog who had always been a friend to Roro and his mother. Black understood Roro’s pain, having lost loved ones of his own. He sat close, offering silent companionship, knowing that sometimes just being there was the best comfort one could give.

As the day wore on, the villagers came by to offer their well-wishes. They brought treats and toys, hoping to bring a smile to Roro’s face, but he could barely muster the energy to wag his tail. He appreciated their kindness, but the void left by his mother was too vast to fill.

When the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the village, Black nudged Roro gently and led him to a quiet spot by the river. They sat together, watching the water flow by, a peaceful yet melancholic scene. Roro’s heart ached with every beat, and finally, he couldn’t hold back his emotions any longer. He buried his face in Black’s fur and cried.

Black wrapped his body around Roro, pulling him close in a warm, comforting hug. The old dog licked Roro’s head gently, letting him know that it was okay to feel sad, that it was okay to cry. Roro’s sobs gradually subsided into soft whimpers, and he found a small solace in Black’s embrace.

As the first stars began to appear in the night sky, Roro looked up and saw them twinkling down at him. He remembered how his mother used to tell him that those stars were the spirits of loved ones watching over them. For a moment, he imagined his mother’s gentle eyes looking down, filled with love and pride.

With Black by his side, Roro felt a glimmer of hope. His birthday might have been sad and lonely, but he realized that he was not truly alone. He still had friends who cared for him and memories of his mother that would live on in his heart. And so, with Black’s hug giving him strength, Roro faced the night, knowing that he would find a way to carry on, one paw at a time.
