Mbappe repeats Kaka and Hazard’s achievements at Real Madrid.

In the fourth match, Kylian Mbappe finally scored his first La Liga goal for Real Madrid. However, this achievement places him alongside Kaka, James Rodriguez, and Eden Hazard—Galacticos who did not live up to expectations under President Florentino Perez. Known for building two Galacticos eras, Perez signed Mbappe as a true superstar this summer.

After scoring in his debut at the UEFA Super Cup, it took the former PSG player four La Liga matches to find the net. Despite breaking his goal drought with a brace against Betis, Mbappe’s start lags behind other Galacticos like Luis Figo, who scored in his La Liga debut after moving from Barcelona to Real Madrid in the summer of 2000.

Even though David Beckham only scored three goals in his first La Liga season with Los Blancos, he managed to find the net in the opening match of the 2003/04 season. Similarly, Cristiano Ronaldo scored in a 3-2 victory over Deportivo in the 2009/10 La Liga opener. Other Galacticos like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario, and Gareth Bale also scored in their La Liga debuts, even if it wasn’t the first match. Mbappe, on the other hand, took four matches to score his first La Liga goal, raising concerns among fans. Historically, Galacticos who needed four matches to score, such as Kaka, James, and Hazard, did not succeed at  Bernabeu.
