Michael Jordan’s daughter says she used Google to find out why her father was so famous.

Jasmine Jordan and her older brother Jeffrey, 35, have previously detailed what life was like growing up alongside a man who is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time.

Jeffrey, who played at the University of Illinois and the University of Central Florida before co-founding Chicago-based consultant group Jordan Avakian Group, opened up to Good Morning America about living under the same roof as MJ.

“He was tough and it was competitive,” Jeffrey said.

“We always felt like the competitive atmosphere shaped us in a way that was for the better and got us prepared for what we were gonna face in the real world. We embraced it, but the switch was on.”

Jasmine, who studied sports management at Syracuse University before working at the NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, also gave an insight into Michael’s personality off the court.

Cleary, he was never one to brag to his kids about life on the court.

“I had kids and teachers and stuff at school telling me ‘It’s incredible your father is who he is.’ And I’m thinking you all haven’t met my father to my knowledge, how do you know this?” she laughed. “So I did, I Googled him. And I found a lot clearly!”

She added: “I had that conversation with my father afterward and he just laughed and was like, ‘Hey, there’s no way to really tell you anything like that’ but between him and my mom, they made sure that we felt like he was normal as can be and we grew up very normal and for that I’m grateful.

“I was so young at the time — so now I’m understanding the chaos and everything that was happening.”

Jeffrey also opened up on what it was like to watch his father in the Netflix and ESPN docuseries, The Last Dance.

“It’s been amazing to see him in a different light,” he said. “We got to see him when he came home and he was done with work — but being able to see him in his element, in his atmosphere with the team and see all the ups and downs of that season has been a treat to watch.”

NBA superstar Stephen Curry has already made his feelings clear on Michael Jordan’s comments about him entering the Hall of Fame.

Curry, 36, has played for the Golden State Warriors since 2009 and has won four NBA titles.

The Ohio-born superstar is often regarded as the NBA’s greatest-ever shooter and was named NBA Most Valuable Player on two occasions.

Back in 2019, fellow NBA legend Jordan, who won the NBA six times, was asked whether Curry deserved a place in the Hall of Fame.

He told NBC’s Craig Melvin, via Complex: “He’s still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet though.”

Responding to Jordan’s comments at the time, Curry told Full Size Run‘s Matt Welty during an interview for Sole Collector: “I think I’m good, but then I’m never complacent.

“I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that who’s the greatest of all time, it’s kind of funny. Since we’ve been on this stage, we’ve heard a lot of retired guys chiming in on this generation of basketball player and evaluating talent and saying their generation was better and all that.”

He added: “It’s a great conversation for the fans to get in on. I know I’m in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”

Curry, along with LeBron James and Kevin Durant were part of the Team USA basketball squad who managed to clinch gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The Americans managed to get the better of France in the final, winning 98-87.

During the match, Curry showcased his skills when it mattered most as he scored 24 points against the French.

The Warriors star scored three three-pointers in the closing stages to put the game to bed.

In the bronze medal match, Serbia got the better of Germany, winning 93-83.

Michael Jordan’s response to watching his two sons get rinsed by a future NBA player was as cold as you would expect.

With their dad arguably the greatest basketball player of all time and an indoor court in their house, you would have thought that some of Jordan‘s magic abilities would have passed down to his offspring.

Twin sons Marcus and Jeffrey Jordan did play in high school for Loyola Academy but never progressed to the NBA.

But back in 2007 they were on the receiving end of a truly sensational display from future NBA star Eric Gordon.

The game between Loyola and North Central was shown live on ESPN and Jordan was in attendance to see his sons play.

But after leading 15-7 early on, they ended up getting absolutely destroyed by their opponents, with Gordon completely running the show.

North Central won 88-47 and Gordon scored 43 points – almost more himself than Loyola, ranked 22nd in the country at the time, managed collectively.

Marcus and Jeffrey were tasked with guarding Gordon but to no avail as he delivered threes aplenty.

To further rub salt in the wounds, Gordon was wearing the No.23 – Jordan’s iconic number for the Chicago Bulls – and even got the ‘Air Gordon’ nickname following chants from the crowd

One of his dunks in the final quarter was something straight out of Jordan’s playback.

The game was one of the highest-viewed high school basketball games on ESPn and the display from Gordon is deemed to be one of the greatest high school performances.

Of course the cameras continually panned to Jordan in the stands and his facial expression was priceless.

“It was great,” Gordon replied when asked about dunking on Jordan’s sons.

“I just got to show how good I was. I’d rather see my team win than scoring this many or show fantastic play. I’d rather see my team win.”

Gordon got drafted to the NBA by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008 and has had two spells with the team.

He’s also represented New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers in 16 seasons in the NBA and was an NBA three-point contest champion in 2017.

Michael Jordan has previously settled the debate between modern day NBA and his era.

Jordan, 61, is often regarded as one of the finest players the NBA has ever seen.

During what was an illustrious career, Jordan played for the likes of Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards.

The American won the NBA championship on six occasions and was named the NBA Finals MVP six times.

Since retiring from the sport in 2003, Jordan has continued to be one of the biggest names in the sporting world due to his work with the clothing brand Nike.

Over the years, much has been made about the difference in the NBA between Jordan’s playing days and now.

Back in 2014, Jordan said, as per Business Insider: “Physically it was a much more physical game than what it is today, you couldn’t walk across the lane without getting checked…you always had to pay a price.

“Those kinds of things these kids don’t even have a clue on how we had to grow up and how we had to play.”

In the same interview, Jordan spoke about his influences, he said: “The people that influenced my basketball skills when I was growing up as I was watching the NBA…Walter Davis, Dr. J (Julius Irving), David Thompson.”

During his playing days, it was once reported that Jordan once made Kobe Bryant so mad that he didn’t speak to his teammates for two weeks.

According to former Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas, Jordan annoyed Bryant after a match in which Jordan won whilst Kobe was wearing ‘Jordan 8’s’.

It is believed that Jordan said to Bryant after the match: “You can wear the shoes but you’ll never fill them.”

Arenas said, as per Essentially Sports: “So what happened next is, during that time after Kobe got, so Kobe didn’t say anything to anybody. So, for like two weeks they said, Kobe was just mute.

“Like, he didn’t talk to his players, didn’t talk to his teammates. Just, they said he was in a, like, focus mode. Like it was straight. Like practice was just so intense. Right? So, the players were like, ‘yo is he mad at us? Did we do something to him?’”

NBA icon Michael Jordan may once again become a champion decades after retiring from basketball.

Having enjoyed a highly successful career in the NBA, many believe that Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time ahead of icons like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal.

Across 15 seasons, ‘His Airness’ won six NBA titles, was a five-time MVP, six-time NBA finals MVP and holds a 6-0 record in those MVP finals.

And 21 years after retiring from basketball, Jordan could be set to win a championship in another sport.

In 2020, Jordan formed NASCAR team 23XI Racing alongside American racing driver Denny Hamlin, and one of their drivers, Tyler Reddick, is in contention to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series.

With 13 races left, Reddick is currently second in the 43-man grid and is only five points behind leader Kyle Larson.

The 28-year-old American finished third in last weeks race at the Richmond Raceway in Virgina, finishing ahead of Larson who finished seventh and taking home 40 points which put him ahead of Chase Elliott.

In the 131 races competed in since Jordan formed the team four years ago, his drivers have won six but are yet to win a drivers’ championship.

When he created the team, Jordan became the first Black principal owner of a full-time NASCAR cup team since 1973 when Hall of Fame driver Wendell Scott drove his own car for 495 races.

“Historically, Nascar has struggled with diversity and there have been few Black owners,” Jordan said in a statement after announcing the creating of 23XI Racing.

“The timing seemed perfect as Nascar is evolving and embracing social change more and more.

“I see this as a chance to educate a new audience and open more opportunities for Black people in racing.

“Growing up in North Carolina, my parents would take my brothers, sisters and me to races, and I’ve been a Nascar fan my whole life.”

Hamlin, a close friend of Jordan’s, also races but for another team, Joe Gibbs Racing, and is currently fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings.
