Real Madrid had an easy win over Atalanta in the European Super Cup. Fede Valverde opened the scoring for Los Blancos, with the opening goal in the 59th minute after an assist from Vinicius Jr.

This was also Fede Valverde’s first official match with his new number. The Uruguayan was given Toni Kroos’ No. 8 shirt after the German retired. Valverde said he wanted to dedicate his goal against Atalanta to Kroos.
