BRIGHT DAY: Vinicius Jr and Brahim Diaz’s outstanding performances showed Chelsea what a top team looks like as Real Madrid secured a convincing 2-1 victory over Chelsea!

90th minute: The match is over. There is no injury time in the second half. Real Madrid win their first match of this summer’s tour of the US, while Chelsea lose their second match in a row.

Minute 83: Luka Modric also left the field. During the US tour this summer, the Croatian midfielder played quite a lot.

Rudiger and Diaz depart the pitch in minute 77. Even with the large number of youthful players in Real Madrid’s team, Chelsea is unable to control the ball.

Real Madrid removed Vinicius, Militao, and Rodrygo in minute 66.

Chelsea substituted Caicedo and Mudryk for Sterling and Lavia in minute 58.

Minute 49: The solution lies with Real Madrid. Diaz receives a pass from Vinicius and attempts a skilful shot, but it goes wide.

Minute 47: As he took the pitch, Lunin stopped a Chelsea player’s push towards Real Madrid.

07:17: Start of the second half. For Real Madrid, Andriy Lunin takes Courtois’ place.

It’s halftime! Chelsea is behind Real Madrid 2-1. Madueke scores for The Blues, while Vazquez and Diaz score for Los Blancos.

Minute 39: Goal!!! Enzo Fernandez crossed the ball from the left wing and hit the far post. Madueke jumped high, pressed Fran Garcia and headed the ball to shorten the score for Chelsea.

Minute 36: Sterling crossed well but his teammates couldn’t keep up, the ball cut across Real Madrid’s goal.

Minute 33: Gusto lost the ball in midfield but fortunately Chelsea’s defender covered him in time.

Minute 27: GOAL!!! Real Madrid has the second goal. Diaz runs down the left wing, passes goalkeeper Jorgensen and finishes gently to score.

Minute 22: Following Modric’s shot, goalie Jorgensen makes a stop with his foot.

Minute 19: A goal! Real Madrid’s first goal came from a Brahim Diaz assist to Lucas Vazquez.

Vazquez’s counterattack shot was wide of the custodian Jorgensen’s reach but generated a roll that went by him.

Minute 10: Despite getting past Chelsea’s defence, Vincius was unable to score.

Minute 4: Sterling had a chance to head the ball during Chelsea’s onslaught, but it soared out.

The summer of 2024 saw Real Madrid’s two new players, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, make their public debuts. Other than that, their stories were “quiet,” much like those of past summers, especially when it came to friendlies.

Two games were lost by coach Carlo Ancelotti’s squad: 1-0 against AC Milan and 1-2 against Barcelona. Not a single star, but teenage player Nico Paz scored the lone goal.

In fewer than ten days, however, Ancelotti does not appear to be concerned about the European Super Cup matchup with Atalanta. He needs to get ready for a match against Chelsea, but Mbappe is still absent.

The French striker will need a few days to get back to full health as he and a few other stars have recently returned from holiday.

Chelsea, on the other hand, played a lot of friendlies as they began a new chapter in their history under coach Enzo Maresca. The Blues’ fifth game was the one versus Real Madrid.

Chelsea played four games; they won one, drew one, and lost two. Even if this isn’t the best team, Maresca is already worried about his chances of winning at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will play a friendly encounter against Inter Milan following their meeting against Real Madrid. Then, they will take on Man City, whom they lost 2-4 in a preseason friendly on August 4.
