After Spain’s 2-1 victory over the host nation and the conclusion of Kroos’ playing career at the European Championship on Friday, the players gave each other the warmest embraces.
The other Spanish players paid their tribute to Kroos, who came out of retirement to boost Germany’s reputation in world football, after teammates Dani Carvajal and Joselu, who were Kroos’s Real Madrid teammates last season, hugged and kissed him on the cheek.
